MARCH TO THE POLLS PROVIDES VARIOUS VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES INCLUDING:

IN-CLASSROOM VOTER EDUCATION

Engage and empower high school students to utilize their vote as their voice. This is accomplished through our volunteers using a March to the Polls presentation to engage with students in classrooms on voting.

We are always looking for volunteers who can be speakers in a high school classroom, sharing the importance of voting through discussion with students. And, we need volunteers who can be VDR’s to support students as they complete the voter registration forms.

STUDENT VOTER EMPOWERMENT CLUB MENTORS

These community mentors help guide a student led club at a high school with an existing Student Voter Empowerment Club. With clubs in Dallas and Tarrant counties, some of the student-led activities include candidate forums, town halls, voter registration drives, meetings with elected officials, voting-themed contests, and field trips to legislative and governmental meetings.

COMMUNITY OUTREACH

We are always looking for community members who can register voters at events all around North Texas. This volunteer opportunity often requires a certified Volunteer Deputy Registrar who can be at a table helping individuals with their voter registration form or distributing informational materials about upcoming elections.
