At March to the Polls, our mission is clear: to empower and uplift underrepresented communities, particularly youth and people of color, by encouraging active participation in the electoral process. We believe that voting is a powerful way to make voices heard, and this year, we’re excited to celebrate the creative energy of our local students through our “I Voted” Sticker Competition.
In collaboration with the Dallas County Elections Department, we invited students from across Dallas to design the iconic sticker that will be handed to voters from October 21 through November 5, 2024—both during early voting and on Election Day. The competition received an incredible response, with submissions showcasing the artistic talents of our young community members. Each design reflected not just creativity but also the pride and responsibility that comes with voting.
As we prepare to unveil the winner, we want to extend a huge thank you to all the students who participated. Your contributions matter and show how engaged our youth are in shaping the future. Whether it’s through artistic expression or stepping into a voting booth for the first time, every action counts in building a more inclusive democracy.
Why It Matters
For many first-time voters, receiving an “I Voted” sticker is a badge of honor—a small but meaningful token representing their role in shaping the future. By inviting students to design this year’s sticker, we’re giving them a chance to be part of this civic pride in a unique way. It’s about sparking early connections with voting, fostering a sense of ownership in the process, and showing them that their creativity can inspire civic engagement throughout Dallas County.
The winning design will be printed and distributed to every voter during early voting and on Election Day. Picture this: a sticker, designed by a local student, worn by thousands of proud voters across the city. It’s more than just art—it’s a message of unity, pride, and the power of young voices.
What’s Next?
The unveiling of the winning design is just around the corner! We can’t wait to share it with you all, so stay tuned for the big announcement. We encourage everyone to keep an eye on our social media channels and website for the reveal. The winning student will not only see their design come to life but will also receive recognition for their contribution to this important election season.
Thank you again to all the students who submitted their designs, and a special thank you to the Dallas County Elections Department for partnering with us on this exciting initiative. Together, we’re fostering a new generation of voters and changemakers, one sticker at a time.
